Jersey Fire (again) with Mark Cahill

Jersey Fire again this year for those of you who want to come out

I would like to invite you to the second annual New Jersey Evangelism event called Jersey Fire. It is going to be an exciting event that is geared toward helping people share their faith comfortably. However, if you are still uncomfortable, then this is the event for you! We will have an evangelism training session with Mark Cahill and Mark Spence of Living Waters, followed by teams of evangelists hitting the boardwalk of Seaside Heights, NJ.



Its purpose is to get people fired up about warning people of the fire to come. This is our second year doing this event. The event is broken up into two parts. The first is a training session. The purpose of the training is for the many people who have never or rarely shared the gospel with others. The second part is to immediately put the training into action on the local Jersey Shore boardwalk. We have a booth on the boardwalk for open air preaching just next to the games and rides. We reach thousands of people each summer.

Last year we had 150 people handing out tracts on the boardwalk. We expect this year to be larger then last and hoping to see at least 300 people out evangelizing after the training. The goal is 1,000. You can see our website at: http://www.strivingforeternity.org/JerseyFire2009.html.

The event will be held on July 11, 2009 and August 15, 2009. The location is at Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Seaside Heights, NJ. The training session will be from 2-5pm and everyone will be able to go out immediately and practice what they've learned. The goal is to get 500-1,000 people, all evangelizing on the same day at the same place.


We will have teams of people evangelizing on the boardwalk. If you evangelize regularly and would like to be a team leader, please contact us. If you are not comfortable and just want to watch, please let us know that and we will set you up with an experienced evangelist to watch and learn. If you just want to come out on that day and watch others evangelize, that is good too. You will see how simple it is to share your faith.
