| Just saw a program where a "believer" said there is no place for prayer in sports?????? The reason I put believer in quotes is because I couldn't believe this guy gets on TV and basically says "God will be where I say he's going to be". First and foremost, we know God is ever present, so we can't exclude Him out of anything. But the main thing that baffled me was the fact that dude obviously has the wrong idea what genuine prayer really is. Not "LORD help us to win the game", but it's okay to say "LORD allow to play the best that I can, and your will be done". Do you guys have a hard time explaining to certain people what genuine prayer is in the secular arena (work, sports etc.)? | |

Nope. From my experience, the majority of Miami is "Catholic", which really means agnostic (I stress the quotation, because I'm not referring to true professing and practicing Catholics). There are only a handful of people I know (church family and other brothers and sisters in Christ) that are even willing to speak on it. If you ask me, that's worse. At least you can show somebody who misunderstands the truth on the subject through God's word, try getting somebody who's indifferent towards God to listen.

| Wow. I won't even begin to touch the subject of Catholics and prayer. Yikes!!
It's hard to explain spiritual things to those who aren't spiritual, no matter what arena you're in. If they aren't regenerate, they just won't get it, at least not fully. At least that's what I've come to realize.
