It's crippling. In fact, there are small cults that equate Tupac's status to that of Jesus. Many who have bought in to the theory of his "faked death" anticipate his second coming. They worship his music as though it is the whole-hearted, unadulterated truth that one must live by in order to be fulfilled in this life and the next. They study his biography as though it brings them closer to him, searching for any and every bit of information they can get their hands on. It's sickening how much they idolize him. Tupac was no doubt talented, but his talents were ill-spent, bringing glory to himself and a lifestyle of crime, violence, womanizing and illicit drug use. Those who worship him are in deep trouble, and need to turn the the redemptive work of Christ.
