10 Key Principles For Godly Decision Making
by: Steve Cornell...quoted on WOTM (June 9th - hour 2)

Trying to decide if you should date that girl?
Questioning if you should get that job?
Deciding if you should make that purchase?
Wondering if its okay to drink that? Wear that? Say that?

Read the following key points to help you make godly decisions...about anything.

1. Ask, "Does this glorify God? Does this behavior bring glory to God? Would it dishonor Him if I do this?"

2. Love others - How will this behavior or practice effect others? Stop thinking about yourself in your decisions and liberties. What about the weaker brother?

3. Eliminate excess - Will this hinder me in living an effective Christian life?

4. Attain excellence - Is this activity useful towards my Christian growth? It may not be wrong, but is it really useful and profitable? Is this activity the best use of my time?

5. Avoid improper relationships - Am I entering into a relationship that could cause me to commit myself to believe or practice something not good? Will this association bring wrong influences in my life?

6. Keep a clear conscience - Is what I'm doing bothering me?

7. Aim at Christ-likeness - Is this consistent with all that I know about Jesus?

8. Maintain purity - Will this activity become a source for sin? Am I allowing myself to be vulnerable to temptation?

9. Prioritize the Gospel - Will this activity hinder or help my effective witness as a Christian?

10. Listen to leadership – Ask godly people who are older than you, “What do you think?”
