There is more to this than just denying the burning bush incident. This attacks the very core of Christianity. If Moses was high and merely had a psychadelic vision, then Christianity loses all validity. Discrediting Moses seeks to destroy Christianity's claims.
Think about it this way. If Moses was high on drugs, we'd have to throw out Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy for sure. So, no more creation account, no more fall of man and promised Messiah, no more Ten Commandments, no more teachings against homosexuality, beastiality, murder, lying, fornicating, etc. There would be no judgment of God upon man. That's the whole point.
The atheist attempts to remove God from the picture so that he/she can escape judgment, but it doesn't matter if they believe in Him or not. He's still real and Jesus is alive! And one day He'll judge every man according to his deeds.
I pray that this Israeli researcher would come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
btw, I think kabillion is a great word.
