Wow. That's straight up ridiculous. I mean this drug-addict writer, who got high while traveling in the Amazon, is just using this as an excuse to explain something he doesn't understand. And whether Moses was on drugs or not when he saw the burning bush, doesn't explain that, when he heard (and initially followed) the instructions from God (via the burning bush) he orchestrated the escape of a kabillion Israelites from slavery. Whether Moses was high or not, can Mr. Shanon (the writer of this ridiculous article) deny the awesome events that followed the "burning bush" incident? Was EVERYONE high, when they saw the sea turn to blood, or when they were getting bombarded by kabillion frogs and locusts? (Kabillion is my new word for the day) Were they high as well, when all the 1st burn males and animals were dropping dead? They must have been high when they saw the sea part and were able to walk on dry land! Come on now, Mr. Shanon. Just because you can't explain it, doesn't mean it was drug-related.

There is more to this than just denying the burning bush incident. This attacks the very core of Christianity. If Moses was high and merely had a psychadelic vision, then Christianity loses all validity. Discrediting Moses seeks to destroy Christianity's claims.

Think about it this way. If Moses was high on drugs, we'd have to throw out Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy for sure. So, no more creation account, no more fall of man and promised Messiah, no more Ten Commandments, no more teachings against homosexuality, beastiality, murder, lying, fornicating, etc. There would be no judgment of God upon man. That's the whole point.

The atheist attempts to remove God from the picture so that he/she can escape judgment, but it doesn't matter if they believe in Him or not. He's still real and Jesus is alive! And one day He'll judge every man according to his deeds.

I pray that this Israeli researcher would come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

btw, I think kabillion is a great word.

You're right, Mike! Its crazy how the world comes in and try to sneak in little attacks. And, Christians watch idly by, not thinking that these "small" attacks are a big deal. I mean, when you read the title "MOSES WAS ON CRACK", most people would just giggle a bit and brush it off, saying that these writers don't have anything better to do. But, you're so right. These so-called funny or outrageous articles actually COME AGAINST the entire Bible. If Moses truly was on crack, then how could ANYONE believe the rest of the Bible?
